A clear distinction between ‘old’ and ‘new’ defines this project. The existing single-storey house exposes itself sympathetically to the existing streetscape; while the ‘new’ addition hovers discretely above and back, presenting a refined simplicity of timber textures and dark tones. This project, in collaboration with SR&O, focus internally and to the garden while preserving a private internal world for this young family.
